New IEC Offerings

Additional Dates added for IHSA Hosted Supervisory Training at the IEC 

The Infrastructure Health & Safety Association’s (IHSA) Basics of Supervising training program will continue to be offered at the IEC through May & June.  The objective of the Basics of Supervising training program is to prepare new and experienced supervisors to become competent in their health and safety responsibilities as described in the Occupational Health and Safety Act. This training program is intended for front-line supervisors looking to enhance their supervisory skills related to their health and safety responsibilities. This program is also ideal for individuals who manage a workplace and lead front-line supervisors or for those who manage workplace health and safety. This program meets the requirements for health & safety awareness training for workers and supervisors as outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Awareness and Training Regulation (O.Reg. 297/13). 

This training program is available to be booked through the IEC’s database and will be offered on the following dates: 

  • May 17/18 
  • June 19/20 

 

In-Person e-Learning Support to be Offered at the IEC

The IEC is happy to announce that an instructor will be available each Tuesday to provide in-person support at the IEC to those needing assistance with online training modules. Those interested can book a spot to have access to a classroom fully equipped with an instructor and tablets to complete IEC online training modules. 

The e-learning proctoring room must be booked in advance through the IEC database and can accommodate up to 8 people each morning and afternoon.
