Incident Details: Starting June 2, 2025, INEOS Styrolution will begin the final phase of safely decommissioning process units and pipelines at our Sarnia site. As part of this operation, elevated flaring will take place and is expected to continue until June 19, 2025. Flaring is a vital safety process and will be the only anticipated impact during this time. No increase in offsite emissions is projected. Our flare systems are operated in compliance with strict environmental regulations and adhere to both process safety protocols and Responsible Care® principles. Flaring plays a key role in managing emissions safely. When you see flaring, please be assured that it is a controlled and essential part of maintaining safe operations. We are committed to keeping flaring to a minimum and will limit activity to only what is necessary for the safe decommissioning of our facility.
