At BASES, we believe strong communication and meaningful community engagement are essential to advancing safety, environmental stewardship, and sustainability across the Sarnia-Lambton region. Through our communications and outreach efforts, we share timely and relevant information with the public, industry, and local partners to build awareness, encourage collaboration, and foster open, transparent dialogue.
This work is guided by two key groups. Our Communications & Outreach Council brings together representatives from local petrochemical facilities to provide leadership, insight, and strategic direction. In addition, our Multi-Stakeholder Outreach Committee includes representatives from industry, municipalities, schools, health organizations, and other community partners to strengthen connections and ensure diverse perspectives are reflected in our work.
We keep the community informed through newsletters, social media, events, and educational resources, and actively participate in local events, workshops, and presentations focused on emergency preparedness, worker safety, and environmental monitoring.
