BASES Worker Recognition Program

The BASES Safety Partnership Worker Recognition Program celebrates workers across Sarnia-Lambton who take an active role in supporting and continuously improving safety in the workplace. BASES will actively share these recognitions through the BASES newsletter, training courses, and other initiatives to foster trust between industry and the community, promote a culture of continuous improvement, and support a vibrant, prosperous region. Top performers could also be nominated to receive an award at the annual BASES Health & Safety Forum.

Award Categories

●      Safety Excellence – Demonstrates sound safety judgment and proactive risk management beyond baseline expectations

●      Safety Leadership & Mentoring – Strengthens safety culture through mentoring, engagement, and positive influence

●      Safety Intervention & Prevention – Proactively identifies hazards and takes action to prevent incidents or near misses

●      Mental Wellness – Promotes a respectful, supportive, and psychologically safe workplace

Eligibility

All full-time, part-time, and contracted workers who are employed within the Safety Partnership tripartite (consisting of local contracting companies, trade unions, and industrial sites), are eligible.
