As part of a planned Emergency Response Exercise, Point Edward Fire & Rescue, BASES industrial members, and regional mutual aid partners are conducting a simulated emergency response exercise on Thursday, June 4, 2026, between 9:00am-11:30am in Point Edward, ON. Community members may notice increased emergency vehicle activity, flashing lights, and response personnel in and around the Starlight Casino Point Edward area and under the Bluewater Bridges. In addition, marine response training may be visible on the St. Clair River. There is also potential for drone activity overhead to support exercise coordination and live observation. This is a planned training exercise only. There is no risk to the public or environment, and no action is required.
